Game Design Document

This week we had to create our Game Design Documents for our games, after reading about what a game design document was, initially I was very confused as I had never heard of them before, and I then had to figure out what I was going to include in my own and what website I would use to design it.

I designed mine on Dundoc. This website was a lot to take in at first, I found it really hard to navigate my way around it and it took me a while to be able to find where I was suppose to be creating my Game Design Document. Eventually I got the hang of it and I was able to create a game design document, I'm still not sure if it is 100% right but I gave it a good go.

  1. Hey Rachael, I completely understand you understanding of Dundoc. I also found it challenging to navigate around the website, but eventually I got the hang of it. I think your game doc is on the right track. The game doc is a work in progress so just record everything in it.
Also, I really like the look and feel for your game, i love the colours !
Hope your game is going well for you !

  3. Hey Rachael, I completely agree about Dundoc. I didnt know how to use it at all when I first went on it but then got the hang of it and I feel now it actually helped me a lot making my GDD. Also thanks for the heads up on how to make it public for everyone. Im just wondering from your game if it is a time limit and a fuel running out? Maybe instead of fuel running out the booster can make you go fast for a few seconds so you reach the end before the time limit? Cant wait to see this come to life and have a go. Kev
