First Impression on Assignments

Some of the assignments I am most intrigued by are the reading and Unity3D ones. I really enjoy reading and love to do it in my spare time, so I think that I will probably find this aspect of the assignments the easiest. I'm also intrigued by the Unity3D assignments because I have never heard of or used Unity3D so i'm excited to explore it and use it for the first time.

This is unlike a lot of my other modules because none of them are structured this way, with different tasks and different aspects to complete each week. In other modules we're kind of given tasks in a week by week basis, whereas in this module we're able to move on with tasks and complete them early if we want to.

As I said in a previous blog post i'm really interested in the growth mindset so I think that is one extra credit assignment I am most interested in and I think I will be doing for extra credit.

Prototype

Personal Screenshot from my Unity Hub This week I started the prototype on my own game. When I opened up Unity I had no idea where to start, I didn't have much of an idea of how I wanted my scene to look, I just knew I wanted it to have some kind of arcade style to it. To begin, I went into the Unity asset store to see if they had any free assets available that I would be able to use in my game, fortunately they had a lot of assets I will be able to use for my scene. I started out by picking a car that I liked and that fit with my theme and downloaded it and imported it into my Unity. I then looked for some other assets like roads and grass and trees and then added them in to my Unity and created this scene for my game. Introduction to a Future Film and Television Screenwriter

I'm a year 2 Creative Digital Media student and I have really been enjoying this course so far. One of my favourite modules last semster was Storytelling and Narrative, I really enjoy film and televison and it is something I am interested in for a future career.  Some fun things I did over summer were going on some trips to different counties with my friends, I travelled to Mayo in May with two of my closest friends and then travelled to Armagh in June with a big group of friends, they were both really fun trips. My two favourite TV shows at the moment are Station 19 and The Wilds. My favourite movie that I have seen recently is Dear Evan Hansen, I love musicals so I really enjoyed watching this film.
